U have to let it out!

As I'm waiting on a table today at work, I noticed a young man by the name of Danny Roberts, who I very bluntly expressed my thoughts about a pepperoni pizza he ordered and how he probably wouldn't finish the entire pizza. FYI... He didn't finish the pizza. lol. Okay, let’s cut to the juice of this story. The birthday celebration is fading with bliss as Danny starts to paint images of his family on the paper that covers the tables. His family is sitting across and next to him. Now, there are no color pencils on the table, just a red pen I believe, and coffee. Danny used the coffee to shade the faces of his family, and pen is the outline. This was so inspiring to me because when "it's in you, you have to let it out." I thought I would share this with all My Mocha Headz because you have to do what's in your heart. You might be doing other things in life, but life is moment to moment. You have to take advantage of those moments. Let your art, your inspiration, your talent, whatever that continues to pulsate in your veins let it out.

Puma Pony Cross Style Pack

With PUMA’s Limited Edition Pony Cross Style Pack, we see a blend of wild, bucking color combinations and textures with classic silhouettes. This collection is inspired by PUMA’s pioneering material play in the 80s. It was a time when they created a niche for themselves by switching up material combinations and defying all conventional color and style.

The Slipstream features a multi-colored outsole, animal-print hair, and fluorescent streaks stitched in a zebra pattern. The Disc Blaze features mixing dark fur hair with bright plastics and stitching and keeping them in check with its Disc System lacing. The pack will be released tomorrow at Hanon.

After showing you the Lakers-themed Nike Auto Flight High QK LE “LA” earlier this week, we now have a look at Nike’s east coast response. Putting the Barkley-endorsed Force 180 on a low-profile diet, Nike attempts to please both the bulky hi-top and vulcanized sole consumer. Mashing up a relatively true-to-form upper with the unavoidable white brick sole, the Auto Force 180 comes in a banger of a New York Knicks colorway.. or if you must, NY Mets. Look for these come Holiday 2009.

Stussy x Clae Kennedy

At the opening of the Stussy LA Clae shop-in-shop we get a first view of the upcoming collaboration between Stussy and Clae on their popular Kennedy low top sneaker. It comes in a navy canvas colorway with beige and red accents. We really like the choice of color and can hopefully soon give you more details about the release.

DJ Clark Kent - 2,000+ New Era Fitted | Your Life Fitted By New Era

Seldom revealed, sneaker aficionado DJ Clark Kent also collects New Era Fitted. In fact, he has over 2,000 of them for every occasions and attires. Recently, photographer Jason Lewis had a rare opportunity to document Kent’s other obsession for Your Life Fitted, a new digital magazine from New Era. “Buried” among organized stacks in his Brooklyn home office, Kent shared his thoughts on his collection along with a few of his favorites. As part of the Kirimori Project, Asics and Mita Sneakers got together once again to work this time on the “Tropical” Gel Lyte Speed. The running shoe comes with a grey base and several color accents on the upper. Nice are also the details in the mid-sole, matching the lining. Look out for a release on September 5th.

adidas Originals Cenntinel Mid Eastern Conference Pack

adidas presents their basketball inspired Cenntinel Mid sneaker in the Eastern Conference Pack. The pack consists of 5 colorways, each inspired by a NBA team from the Eastern Conference. We have never been big fans of sneakers featuring team logos/graphics, yet adidas took a rather subtle approach on these, compared to previous ones, and the turn out is rather clean. The uppers come in premium suede and the team graphics are only featured on the tongue. If you are wearing pants with these, you will not even see it at first.

Nike SB September 2009 Releases | Dunk Hi, Blazer Hi, Stefan Janoski

The first September footwear releases from Nike SB have begun to trickle into stores. The latest drop consists of solid new colorways in each of the Dunk Hi, Blazer Hi, and Stefan Janoski pro-model, with our tastes leaning towards the deep red low top. The stitched swoosh outline on the grey suede Blazer is also a welcome change. All shoes are now available for pre-order from CCS.

How do you feel about these??? Surface 2 Air Fall/Winter 2009 Sneakers

After presenting the Surface 2 Air Fall/Winter 2009 Collection the other day, we give you more detailed views of their sneaker offering for the new season today. Just like with their clothing, the Parisian brand also shows different faces in their footwear offering. From more sporty, surf inspired canvas sneakers to more refined high top leather sneakers the collection is pretty complete. The colors on the canvas shoes are different than what we are used to see from most other brands – if you like that kind of “different” you have to decide for yourself. Opinions here vary. Overall we do like the collection though, especially the suede styles.

Ndeur ‘ Concept’ Paper Shoes

With all the free flowing creativity in shoe design lately , this is one concept, I would love to see actually created, because I would certainly wear them. Diego Dolcini came close to the idea. I get goosebumps just thinking about it…via ndeurblog. More images on the next page.

Sony rolls out a new, much smaller, much lighter PS 3. Dubbed the PlayStation 3 Slim, the new model also eats up way less energy and contains more memory than the original. Available this September starting at $300 USD for a 120GB model. Rumor has it a 250GB is also in the pipeline. You can pre-order now from Amazon.

Would You Wear These??? A Bathing Ape Bape Sta 88 Rainbow

Bape has released the Bape Sta 88 Hi Rainbow. The high top sneaker comes with a white base and different color patent leather accents. Knowing Bape, a rainbow theme sneaker could have turned out much more colorful. Anyways, these are now available in Bape stores around the globe. I Don't Know About These People!!!

Nixon Fall 2009 Elite Ceramic Collection

Nixon has been for a while now one of only a few interesting mid-range price watch companies on the market and with the recent push in interesting models, that will not change any time soon. Most impressed so far, we are with their new Elite Ceramic Collection for Fall 2009. Entirely Swiss Made, they present the 51-30 divers watch and the Player model with complete ceramic cases. The 51-30 comes in two sizes in all white, featuring a ceramic bezel and strap. The Player comes in black and in white with the watch case and strap coming in ceramic. Obvious other features include the scratch resistant saphire glass, Swiss movement and much more. These features of course do not come cheap. Expect the 51-30 to be more than 2000 USD retail. Look out for the new watches in stores soon.

Comme des Garcons x Converse

Known as’ Comme des Garçons Play for Converse ‘the latest collaboration between Comme des Garcons and Converse will be available in october, and includes four styles styles. Two high tops and two oxfords. According to a spokesperson, “Converse has a long history of being on the feet of those who have chosen to disrupt the status quo”.

”The collaboration was born out of Rei Kawakubo’s affection for a particular Chuck Taylor All Star model from the Converse archives that was originally produced in the Fifties for the U.S. Army. Using details from that model, Converse and Kawakubo came up with the four prototypes, which will retail for $100 each. Available at the end of August in Comme des Garçons stores in New York, Paris, London, Hong Kong and Seoul, including select retailers that sell Comme des Garçons Play, and in October, distribution will grow with a second launch in the same Comme des Garçons stores as well as top Converse retailers in the U.S., Canada and China.”-via wwd.

Nike X SLY - Limited Edition Air Troupe

After a previous collaboration with Japanese women’s label, SLY, on a limited edition Terminator in March, SLY is back in the collaboration game with Nike to produce two models, a mid top and a low top version, of the Air Troupe. Both brands decided to go with an 80s retro vibe, drawing inspiration from the booming hip-hop culture three decades ago. The shoes are colorful in a mix of neons and bright colors crafted from suede, leather and canvas.

The low-top version is more colorful in a bright blue canvas with purple and neon green accents, featuring a non-slip ankle patch to support all activities and moves for the girls who dance. The mid-top version is more subtle in a black canvas upper with the same purple and neon accents, with a cutout stretchable ankle strap that make slipping into the shoes easier.

These shoes will be available for purchase starting Sep 5 at four SLY locations in Taipei, Taiwan, and will be available at select Nike retailers starting Sep 19.

The Zapato del Barco has certainly gained popularity with the rise of boat shoes. For Fall 2009 two new canvas colorways have been released. They come with leather linings, leather laces with beads and contrasting stitching, making them all in all very solid. Look out for a release soon at Flauge.

Alife Fall 2009 Footwear And Polo Shirts

After already showing you some first new sneaker styles from the Alife Fall 2009 Collection, here comes a further preview of what there is to come. The NYC brand presents their low top Court Cup, Everybody High All-Over, Everybody High Americas Cup, Everybody Mid Black Suede and the Mono Aplique. All in all solid styles from their footwear line. Furthermore Alife has also released a new organic cotton polo shirt, which comes in black and white with a small logo hit on the chest.

Nike SB - “Toxic Sea Robin” Dunk

This unlisted August 2009 release from Nike SB is perhaps a commentary on the waning conditions of our environment. Dubbed the “Toxic Sea Robin” or the “Toxic Avenger”, these Nike Dunk Low are done up in a tan upper with dark brown panels, lighted up with an orange Swoosh, yellow trimmings and midsole with a very poisonous looking neon green outsole. Sure the colorway reminds us of some rusted item we could fish out from the oil-spilled seas, but they convey an interesting attitude and are now available in very limited quantities at NJ Skateshop.

Loeffler Randall Online Shop Now Open

We’ve always been fans of Jessie Randall’s Loeffler Randall label in these parts, and now we love it even more as they have relaunched their site equipped with an online store and a blog that loads up so quickly,on my overworked PC itmakes it me want to hug their site developers and designers. You might think it’s a trivial detail but but it makes it so much easier to eature a label , when we don’t have to navigate through flying creatures, pop-up windows or silent films, to get to the goods. Bape Sanrio Baby Milo Capsule Collection

We take a detailed look at the collaboration between Bape and Sanrio, who did not only join force on a capsule collection, but they also opened a Sanrio Baby Milo Pop-Up Store. The collection is made up of t-shirts, hoodies, sweaters, tote bags, mugs, key chains, other accessories and also the Bape Skullsta sneaker. All pieces come in a variety of colorways, featuring graphics that combine Bape’s Baby Milo and Sanrio characters.

Michael Sanderson Fashion Illustrations

Today we came across the very impressive portfolio of illustrator Michael Sanderson. The 23 year old is working with Taiko & Associates in Japan and has already a very impressive client list under his belt. The mix of illustration and sharp branding in his pieces is especially interesting and intriguing. So far he has worked with both small NYC boutiques and fashion heavy wheigts such as Gucci and Louis Vuitton. He is definitely one to keep an eye on in the future.

Alife Fall 2009 Footwear | First Releases

The first pieces from the Alife Fall 2009 Footwear Collection start getting into stores. The drop includes the Shell Toe, Chuck, Everbody Mono, Everbody High and the Everybody Hi-Lite. So far the collection seems to be a little more subtle than previous ones and they continue to add quality to their footwear. The sneakers come in premium leathers with nice color accents. We especially like the use of suede on the tongue, contrasting the rest of the uppers.

Crewest Gallery showcased art work. The name of the Exhibit is called Love + Guts. Features artist like Steve Caballero have been skating for over 29 years and has taken brands like Vans to another level with his signature show the Half Cab!

Artist Bart Saric among other talents showcased his work at the Love + Guts Exhibit. Reading his Q&A with the Crewest Gallery, this really stood out to me!

Crewest: What would you like to tell an aspiring artist or skater that looks up to you?

Saric: First of all, I would say thank you for the love. Second, I would advise them to enjoy their lives and never give up on achieving their dreams. Be true to yourself and the craft and magic things will come out of that. Don't let politics get in the way of your goals. Bottom line, enjoy what you are doing...I always say, "the person with the biggest grin wins!"
