Hover Board by Mattel

I guess the time to sell is now for all Back to the Future II related memorabilia. Thanks to the media craze initiated by Nike with their Hyperdunk 2015, the days/weeks following its release saw an auction pop up for the Nike Mag (which ended at $5,300 USD) with its complimentary prop the Mattel Hover Board now also up for grabs on the internet auction block site eBay. However with $30,000 as the starting bid for this (obviously) unfunctional prop, it’s a steep price to pay. Unlike other props made of styrofoam which hasn’t passed the test of time, this Hover Board is made of wood and metal complete with a texturized paint job. I don’t see the skateboard being replaced seven years from now by a floating board though. See the a clip of the Hover Board in action after the jump.
