Vans Era x Classickicks - Vintage Pack

Classickicks, a sneaker and clothing boutique located in New York City, recently partnered up with Vans to recreate classic colorways of the Era and the Mid School 77. When asked to do the collaboration, Classickicks’ Nick Santora decided to use an old Vans ad from the 1970’s as the inspiration. The project started with the Mid School 77 with a red colorway as the starting point and a blue colorway was decided on as well. The Era, also in the Vans ad was chosen as well and four classic colorways were recreated. Each of the of the four Eras feature a suede toe, tongue and heel and the midbody is canvas. Look for these four new classics at Classickicks this coming Saturday August 9th at 11am for $65.00 each.

Questlove Air Force 1 Release @ Ubiq Recap

The Questlove Air Force 1, known more colloquially as the “Air ?uesto,”has been one of the most anticipated releases this year. Nothing more can really be said about the Air Force 1’s at this point, as they’ve been some of the most talked about kicks in recent history, but the two drops so far of these sneakers have been massive. The Philly drop at Ubiq even earned some attention on local news channels, and for good reason; the line was incredible, and no doubt something rarely seen in Philadelphia. While the New York City drop was undoubtedly huge (article here), the Ubiq launch was equally gigantic, and also had ?uestlove there, signing boxes and DJ-ing for customers. A few lucky customers even had ?uestlove pay for their purchases! This was definitely one of the biggest events of the year by far, and will be remembered by all who attended for a longtime.
