With the Tier 0 release of the Nike Air Force 1 "Optical Force" this weekend in Milan, in collaboration with SlamJam, we thought we'd take a closer look at the black and yellow colorways.

The uppers come in wrinkled patent leather, the Swoosh, laces and lining in white. The lining comes in mesh and inner sole features the SlamJam "Optical Force" pattern and logo. The laces are waxed are have a real premium feel. Also the leather mid-sole adds a premium touch to the sneaker. The SlamJam logo is also embossed on the heel.

The pack will be released this Saturday, September 20th.

To celebrate twenty-five years of the iconic My Little Pony, Hasbro, Inc. has brought together artists, celebrities, and musicians to design one of a kind My Little Ponies of their own for a project titled "The My Little Pony Project: 25 Ponies". Included in this bunch is Claw Money, a style icon in her own right. Sporting a signature Claw Money silk-scarf jacket and mini gold Nikes, the "Money Pony" is an amusing take on the classic toy, appropriating it for a new consumer. All twenty-five designs will be unveiled tomorrow at the Chelsea Art Museum upon which they will be auctioned off September 18 through October 2 by visiting Charity Folks with proceeds going to Give Kids the World Village.

After a successful run in Detroit, at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Alex Melamid's "Holy Hip-Hip!" rolls west to Los Angeles. His work takes 12 famed hip-hop figures and presents them in old master style.

Doesn't another guy do that? Yes, indeed, Kehinde Wiley is the poster boy of hip-hop portraiture. While Wiley is frequent visitor to hip-hop subject matter, Melamid's work focuses just on this set. Still, the comparisons are bound to continue as "Holy Hip-Hop!" continues to show. While on subject, read a review of Wiley's latest work (from the New York Times), here. An excellent, and accurate assessment.
